THE HAVAL H6 HEV FULL REVIEW.
With the world in a hurry to shift to an era dominated by hybrids and all electric vehicles, manufacturers like Haval also had to jump in the trend. Hybrids as we know them are always meant to provide better fuel economy or higher power outputs or even both as the goal sometimes. The Hava H6 HEV here promises to give its buyers a better fuel consumption over the standard H6 and ultimately its rivals.
Now that you know the what the H6 HEV is, let's talk about the specifications. The H6 makes use of a 1.5L 4-Cylinder Turbo petrol engine and a battery pack for a combined total power output of 179 kW and 530 Nm of torque. Those are substantially healthy figures if you ask me and if you are into quick accelerations then 8.5 seconds for the H6 HEV is not bad either considering that it's not even a high performance SUV. The claimed combined fuel consumption by Haval stand at 5.2L/100 km, that is quite impressive in this segment and handy in today's fluctuating fuel prices. The H6 HEV comes with four driving modes namely; Sport, Eco, Standard and Snow, wait..we don't have snow this side do we?
but who wouldn't want more driving modes? We cannot complain!

Now for the exterior, the most noticeable changes over standard H6 is the new grille design which is supposed to mimic a spide web and spans across the entire front end of the car, lower down you have a slightly different front bumper design too. The black acccents all round also differentiate the H6 HEV from the standard model.
INTERIOR:
From the inside it is still the same Haval H6 there are no differences between the two models. There is good quality materials on most areas and soft touch materials on key areas, the overall interior design looks good and it is up to par with the market standards. The H6 HEV also gets a panoramic sunroof to brighten up the interior with natural light and it opens all the way back which is a good thing.
A 10.25 inch digital driver's display comes as standard together with 12.3 central display touch screen which houses the wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity options and other various functions you will need on the car. A heated, leather wrapped steering wheel comes as standard here with leather upholstery for the seats too, you also get dual zone climate control and electronically operated front seats which are also are heated and ventilated.
COLOURS:
For colour options, buyers have a total of six (6) colours to choose from: Green, Red, Black, White, Blue and finally Grey which is the one featured here.
SAFETY AND PRACTICALITY:
With the safety features the mid sized SUV comes with a 360° camera, rear collision warning, door open warning, automatic emergency braking and automated parking. An auto lift tailgate comes as standard too for the 600 liters boot space which will expand to 1,485 liters with the rear seats down. A wireless charging pad also comes standard on the car. You also get keyless entry and start with the H6 HEV.
PRICE:
The H6 HEV will cost you from just P550 000.00 or R669,500 inclusive of Service Plan & Warranty.
