PORSCHE BAGS 2 RECORDS AT ONCE!

      A New Nordschleife Track Record!

Hello readers, today we have quite an interesting read for you, the Nürburgring records. Porsche, with the 911 GT2 RS has just broke another track record of the famous German race track. This follows after Porsche broke the Audi RS Q8' lap record recently with the, not yet released, Cayenne.

The 911 GT2 RS Nordschleife Record

The Porsche 911 GT2 RS that was used for this record had a new Performance Kit upgrade of which came from a collaboration between Porsche's engineers in Weissach and Manthey's Nordschleif specialists in Meuspath.

The 911 GT2 RS' new record dethroned Mercedes-AMG's GT Black Series.

The new Manthey Performance Kit includes new chassis, suspension, aerodynamic and brake components specially developed for the 911 GT2 RS. The Kit is available to customers as Porsche's Tequipment Package and Porsche says the Performance Kit is only available as a whole as the new individual components of the kit only become fully effective when they are all installed together. The Performance Kit also includes a Carbon Fibre roof panel and a Titanium roll cage too.

Weissach Magnesium wheels? Yes

However, the 911 GT2 RS retained its known power output of 515 kW / 700 hp and 750 Nm of torque. All this power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The lap run was done with the car on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tyres and at an average speed of 185.87 km/h.
